Left ventricular hypertrophy is the most common cardiac abnormality in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and can disrupt the conduction system in the heart, leading to fatal arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death, or cardiac failure. Learn more about the importance of accurately measuring blood pressure, managing hypertension, and performing frequent dry weight assessments to reduce the risks associated with cardiovascular disease in children with CKD.
