The Nephrology Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice (2017) provide a resource for evaluating nephrology nursing practice; identifying nephrology nurses’ responsibilities; and developing quality improvement and professional development programs, position descriptions, and policies and procedures. This session addresses the incidence of acute kidney injury in burn patients and considerations for this population, including sepsis risk, fluid imbalance, volume resuscitation, and nephrotoxic drugs.
