This session explores wounds that never heal, which are a familiar problem for patients with CKD and their nephrology nurses. PVD, with all the edema and circulation issues, is discussed as to causation and pathophysiology. Assessment, treatment, and outcomes are the highlight of this session.

This session focuses on patients with kidney disease who also have various blood dyscrasias. Causes and symptoms of blood dyscrasias as well as medical and nursing interventions for treatment plans are highlighted. Pharmacologic therapies also are reviewed.
