When we discuss determinants of health and health care, we must take into account the cultural and social factors involved in determining who receives what health care and how they are treated. This session examines how stigma and racial discrimination impact healthcare utilization. Approaches leaders at all levels of society could and should take to reduce health and racial inequities is presented.
