Facilitating Goals of Care Conversations and Promoting Respect for Patient Wishes

Nephrology Nurses work with seriously ill patients and are often in the position to facilitate goals of care conversations so that their patients' wishes can be known and respected. These can be hard, and we never know how best to manage these conversations. The course faculty will use case presentations to role model the Ask-Tell-Ask approach which they have used successfully with patients in 10 dialysis centers in the recently completed Pathways Project. An important component of this presentation will be lessons learned on how you and your team can integrate these conversations into your workflow. This very informative webinar will be invaluable to all nephrology nurses as we care for our patients.
