CKD01 - Introduction to Chronic Kidney Disease: An Overview of Causes, Staging, and Treatment

This presentation is designed to help non-nephrology nurses, who are caring for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in other settings, learn more about the disease and its therapies. A broad overview of the causes, disease stages, and therapies designed to treat both chronic kidney disease and its complications are discussed.

Learning Outcome:
After completing this education activity, the learner will be able to state an increased ability to discuss the causes, staging and treatment of chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury, and will have an increased ability to pass exam questions on this content.
