Prevention of Heart Disease in Women: The CKD and CVD Connection
It is common knowledge that heart disease presents differently in women than in men, but did you know that there are significant commonalities between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD), especially for women? Opportunities for nephrology nurses to include CVD and CKD prevention education in their care planning for female patients are also explored.
