Many of the issues associated with liver disease impact either the care we provide to our patients or lead to renal impairment. This session reviews the obstacles in CKD care that can occur with the various forms of liver diseases and outlines the care of the individual with hepatitis, including medical management of this disease. In addition, the disease of hyperoxaluria, its incidence, diagnosis, and treatment options provide another piece of the puzzle. The last facet to this ""connection"" concerns hepato-renal failure and interventions to care in both the acute and chronic stages of disease management.
