Objectives:
  • Apply an understanding of the pathophysiology of CKD-MBD, including for early onset of the condition, to monitor appropriate biomarkers and guide management of patients.
  • Assimilate current evidence and existing clinical practice guidelines to control phosphate levels early, set treatment goals, and monitor patients with CKD-MBD.
  • Apply current evidence on the impact of phosphate binders on the cardiovascular system to the individualized management of CKD patients.
  • Develop a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to care in order to improve adherence to treatments and diet in patients with CKD-MBD.
