Changes in the management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) occur frequently, and treatments previously used sometimes re-emerge. Conservative management of CKD is being viewed as something new while it has been used before. This session examines the current state of modality use for CKD and compares it to conservative management. How to individualize plans of care to provide the best care for each individual is discussed.
