How many of your patients have gout?
Gout has historically been referred to as a rheumatologic disease, but increasing evidence shows that it is a disease of the kidney, too.1 Studies indicate a strong associative link between gout and CKD (see chart below).2 We encourage you to be mindful of this link when talking with patients within your nephrology office.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE
KRYSTEXXA® (pegloticase) is indicated for the treatment of chronic gout in adult patients who have failed to normalize serumuric acid and whose signs and symptoms are inadequately controlled with xanthine oxidase inhibitors at the maximum medicallyappropriate dose or for whom these drugs are contraindicated.
Important Limitations of Use: KRYSTEXXA is not recommended for the treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia.
