Victoria Pontieri-Lewis
MS, RN, CWOCN
Vicky Pontieri-Lewis is an Advanced Practice Nurse at Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) University Hospital. She has been a nurse for 32 years with both ICU and Medical Surgical Nursing Experience. She has been certified by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) Society 25 years and is also certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is currently the Advanced Practice Nurse for Wound Ostomy and Continence and provides inpatient consultation to patients with wounds, ostomies, and incontinence. In the outpatient clinics she provides education and care to patients with bowel and bladder cancer. Ms. Pontieri-Lewis is also very active in providing education to nurses and physicians.
Ms. Pontieri-Lewis is the recipient of the first Magnet Nurse of the Year Award in the Empirical Outcomes category for the work she has done at RWJ with reducing hospital acquired pressure ulcers. She has received her Greenbelt for Lean Six Sigma.
Ms. Pontieri-Lewis has presented nationally and published in the areas of wounds and osotmies. She has served on the Editorial Board of MEDSURG Nursing Journal. She is currently on the WOCN National Conference Planning Committee and has served as facilitator for the ostomy and conference symposia tracks.
