Tara O’Brien PhD, RN, CNE

Dr. O'Brien, a registered nurse with 31 years of clinical experience and 18 years as a nurse educator, specializes in research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement. She is a faculty member at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, where she continues to advance nursing education and nephrology research. Supported by a K award and an LRP NIDDK award, her work focuses on technology-driven, person-centered strategies to improve health outcomes for kidney transplant recipients. As Chair of the American Nephrology Nurses Association Research Committee, Dr. O'Brien mentors ANNA members on projects aligned with the ANNA mission area.
