Goal: To provide an overview of living kidney donors in the African-American population.

Objectives:

Identify the key reasons why living kidney donor transplantation in the African-American population is of particular interest to researchers.
Describe motivating factors for individuals to become living kidney donors.
Explain the positive and negative effects experienced by African-American living kidney donors as reported by this study.
