Goal: To provide an overview of glomerular filtration rate estimating equations in older adults with chronic kidney disease.

Objectives:

Explain the four different equations used to determine glomerular filtration rates in patients with chronic kidney disease.
Discuss the preference of the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration equation over the other three equations.
