Mindy Fain MD

Mindy J. Fain, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine, Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. She is the Division Chief of Geriatrics, General Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine and co-directs the Arizona Center on Aging. For over 25 years she was Medical Director for the Home-based Primary Care Program at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System, providing care in the home for older veterans with advancing chronic illness, and their families, as part of an interprofessional health care team, and developed a telehealth program to care for people with serious illness. Her research area of interest is frailty, and she is helping to bridge the worlds of scientists and clinicians to solve this emerging geriatric syndrome.
