Goal: To provide an overview of a process to educate patients with end stage renal disease regarding independent dialysis therapies.

Objectives:

Identify three types of independent dialysis therapies.
Discuss how nephrology nurses can assist patients with end stage renal disease on choosing an independent dialysis therapy.
