Mary Brennan DNP, AGACNP-BC, ANP, FAANP

Dr. Mary M. Brennan is the Director of the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP Program at New York University’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She received her MS from Boston College and a DNP from Case Western Reserve University. Her DNP Project was conducted in Accra, Ghana, where she taught nurses the principles of pediatric resuscitation to improve the care of infants and children treated in the emergency room. As an educator, she is interested in innovative technologies to enhance learning and she has received a number of curricula grants to develop a virtual video hospital called

“Acute Care General Hospital”. She is a recognized leader in the field of acute care nursing and was recently named one of the “16 Great Acute Care Nursing Professors”. Dr. Brennan's work focuses on improved holistic care for the hospitalized patient, with oral health constituting one of the most important interventions to achieve this care.
