Goal: Discuss the history, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and current strategies to facilitate positive outcomes in the management of patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpurahemolytic uremic syndrome (TTP-HUS).

Objectives:

Review the pathophysiology, and clinical presentation of TTP-HUS.
Identify current practice strategies and standards utilized in the treatment of TTP-HUS.
Discuss the role of therapeutic plasma exchange as an extracorporeal therapy utilized in the treatment of TTP-HUS.
