Leah Foster Smith has been a board certified FNP and Nephrology NP since 2001. She is currently the Director of APPs at Metrolina Nephrology Associates, based in Charlotte, NC supervising the largest group of nephrology APPs currently at 46 APPs. Leah has received the distinguished honors to be selected as a Fellow of AANP, ANNA, & NKF, creator and chair of one of the nation's first APP-led CKD programs managing over 30,000 CKD patients, Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Nephrology & Adjunct Instructor at UNC-Chapel Hill. She currently serves in national roles with ANNA, NKF, ASN, & RPA.
