Objectives

Explain how this facility established evidence on which to base a protocol for monitoring capillary blood glucose in hospitalized patients with diabetes mellitus in the immediate post-acute hemodialysis period.
Identify factors that may be associated with glucose levels in the post-acute hemodialysis period.
Describe factors that may affect post-acute hemodialysis glucose levels in adult patients with diabetes receiving acute hemodialysis.
