Session speakers discuss how an academic medical center tackled the challenge of reducing central line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) by implementing a line ownership approach that involved bringing together key stakeholders to conduct multidisciplinary rounds to identify improvement opportunities and trends, while prioritizing patient safety. Discussions about line ownership have now expanded beyond the dialysis unit to involve the entire hospital to benefit the overall patient population.
