Cindy A. Richards BSN, RN, CNN, CCTC

Cindy has been a registered nurse for 44 years, the last 37 years in nephrology, with 31 of those 37 years in pediatric nephrology. She currently works as a pediatric kidney transplant coordinator at Children's of Alabama in Birmingham. She holds a BSN, and is certified in both nephrology (CNN) and as a transplant coordinator (CCTC). She has provided multiple presentations on nephrology related topics on both a local and national level. She has contributed to several book chapters on nephrology related topics, including the most recent Core Curriculum for Nephrology Nursing, and served as a reviewer for the most recent Contemporary Nephrology Nursing. She has also written several articles. She has held many positions within ANNA, from chapter officer, to national committees and committee chairs, and was ANNA National President in 2015-2016. She currently serves as President Elect for her local ANNA chapter, and is on the ACST.
