Goal: To provide an overview of the prevalence and risk factors for endocarditis in patients undergoing hemodialysis by means of a central venous catheter.

Objectives:

Explain the complication of endocarditis in patients on hemodialysis.
Discuss the findings from the study presented in this article regarding the prognosis of patients on hemodialysis by central venous catheter who experience complications caused by endocarditis.
