Christine Berke is a nurse practitioner at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She is the full-time provider in the Wound & Ostomy Clinic and has been instrumental in expanding the outpatient services there in the past 13 years. She served on the National Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society Board for 6 years, two years as a director and four years as secretary. She previously completed a five-year volunteer term on the Advanced Practice Exam Committee of the WOCNCB, serving as chair for two years. During this tenure, she helped to develop, write, and launch the three inaugural certification exams for APNs in the fields of wound, ostomy, and continence nursing. She has been a nurse for 39 years, a WOC nurse for 21 years and an APRN for 14 years. Christine has published several WOC related articles in peer reviewed journals and co-authored two book chapters.
