Goal: To provide an overview of the economic, cost, and patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction when using heparin BP versus heparin USP.

Objectives:

Explain the differences between heparin BP and heparin USP.
Discuss the patient and economic outcomes for using one type of heparin over another during hemodialysis as discovered by this study.
