Amy Kupsco MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CCTC

Amy Kupsco has worked in the transplant and nephrology field for the past 25 years. She started out her nursing career working on the inpatient transplant/nephrology unit at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina from 1999-2010. During that time, she also worked in the inpatient dialysis unit. Amy then worked as a kidney transplant coordinator at the Carolinas Medical Center Transplant Center from 2010- 2020. During her time at the Transplant Center, she earned her CCTC (clinical certified transplant coordinator) national certification. As a transplant coordinator, Amy developed the post-kidney transplant program and then managed the kidney/pancreas transplant program. She graduated with her MSN with a FNP concentration from UNCW in December 2020. Amy has been working as a transplant nurse practitioner at Metrolina Nephrology Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina since April 2021. Her roles in the pre-transplant clinic include evaluating patients for kidney and kidney/pancreas transplant listing, evaluating patients for living donor candicacy, and working with the waitlist team to ensure that all waitlist patients are seen on a bi-annual to annual basis. Amy also sees patients in the post transplant clinic and she is the rounding APP at an outpatient dialysis unit. Amy is a member of the ANNA Greater Charlotte Chapter and has spoken at several local events regarding transplant.
