Goal: To illustrate the differences in the economic burden caused by anemia treaments on CKD patients who are not yet on dialysis.

Objectives:

  1. Enumerate the economic impact on families and patients with chronic kidney disease not yet receiving dialysis cause by the treatment for anemia.
  2. Compare and contrast the economics of weekly versus monthly treatments found in a study of patients with CKD who are not yet on dialysis.
  3. Recommend a plan for easing economic burden for patients with CKD needing treatment for anemia.
