Goal: To describe the effects of nurse-managed, algorithmic treatment plan for anemia on emergency room visits and hospitalizations in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Objectives:

  1. Summarise the effects of nurse-managed, algorithmic treatment of patients with anemia and CKD.
  2. Relate the limitations of a study done on patients with anemia and CKD.
  3. Generate ideas for future studies on the management of anemia in patients with CKD.
