Goal: To provide an overview of modifiable risk factors for CKD in African Americans of both genders with metabolic syndrome.

Objectives:

  1. Explain metabolic syndrome as it relates to CKD.
  2. Describe the CKD risk factors in metabolic syndrome.
  3. Outline this current study's method and results.
