Lynda Newman MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, CNN

Lynda Newman graduated from Kent State University College of Nursing in 1978, and became a Clinical Nurse Specialist upon obtaining her MSN from Case Western Reserve University's Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in 1983. She cut her teeth in Intensive Care Unit nursing and honed her skills in Rehabilitation.

In 1987, she was invited to develop a Peritoneal Dialysis Unit at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. In 1997, the Unit's name was changed to "Home Dialysis" as she helped develop one of USA's first Nocturnal Home Hemodialysis programs. In 2003, Mrs. Newman added CKD to her unit's roster of services.

Lynda's CV contains a long list of published papers and presentations on subjects related to PD and Home Hemodialysis. Her experience with teaching self-care to home patients has taught her that even in-center patients do better when they are involved with their own care.
