Amy Woodard is a North Carolina native and works as the living donor coordinator for kidney & liver transplant at the UNC Center for Transplant Care in Chapel Hill, NC. She is a graduate of East Carolina University and has spent her entire nursing career working as a nephrology nurse. She spent 5 years as a hemodialysis nurse before becoming a kidney transplant coordinator in 2001.

She is an active member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association and is currently in her 5th year as the leader of the Transplant specialty group within ANNA. She has served as an ANNA chapter officer and on the national conference planning committee. She is a certified nephrology nurse, a certified Transplant Coordinator, and has given presentations to nurses and patients locally, regionally, and nationally. She has also been published in the Nephrology Nursing Journal and nephrology nursing textbooks.
