Amy Woodard is a kidney transplant coordinator at the UNC Center for Transplant Care in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Amy has worked for UNC Transplant Care since 2001. Her experience includes working with pre-transplant patients, helping them through the transplant evaluation process, and beginning in 2013, her role has focused primarily with living kidney donors and UNC’s kidney paired donation program. Her background also includes five years as a hemodialysis nurse. She is a graduate of the East Carolina University School of Nursing. Amy is an active member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association, and is currently the leader of the transplant specialty group within ANNA. She is a certified nephrology nurse, a certified Transplant Coordinator, and has given several presentations to nephrology staff and patients locally, regionally, and nationally.
