Dr. Dean Preddie is an interventional nephrologist specializing in dialysis access management. Dr. Preddie is the medical director of American Access Care of Brooklyn, in Brooklyn, New York. He earned both his masters and medical degrees at Washington University in St. Louis and completed internal medicine residency training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. After completing subspecialty training in nephrology at Columbia University in New York City, he joined their faculty as an assistant professor of clinical medicine, specializing in glomerular diseases, hypertension and critical care, as well as acute and chronic dialysis management. Dr. Preddie’s commitment to improving vascular access options for his dialysis patients led him to undergo training with Dr. Gregg Miller, an expert in dialysis vascular access care. He continued to hone his skills with Dr. Miller while maintaining his clinical responsibilities at Columbia University before accepting the invitation to join Fresenius Vascular Care full time and to support their physician training efforts.
