Katherine Westreich MD

Katie Westreich is a pediatric nephrologist in Chapel Hill, NC. Originally from the Seattle area, she attended medical school at UNC before pediatrics residency at Duke University, and pediatric nephrology fellowship at UNC where she joined the faculty in 2016. The focus of her scholarly work is quality improvement, particulary in the area of safe, standardized discharge for pediatric inpatients; she also oversees the quality improvement work of the nephrology fellows in internal medicine and pediatrics at UNC. Her clinical areas of concentration are pediatric renal transplant, chronic kidney disease, and congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract.
