Norma J. Gomez MBA, MSN, RN, CNNe

Mrs. Gomez graduated from Independence School of Nursing in Independence, Missouri, she received her Bachelors in Health Administration from Florida International University her Master’s in Business Administration from Barry University in Miami, Florida and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She has been in nephrology since 1972. She has worked in acute, chronic and home settings. She has been a staff nurse, home PD nurse, Director of Nursing, Regional Director and Vice President of Operations. She transferred from operations into education in 2002. She has been a project lead for Acutes, PD, HHD, strategic initiatives, new product training, educational programs, and special projects. She has been active in the nephrology community serving on Network 17 Medical Review Board, member of the Florida renal Administrators, National Kidney Foundation, and the American Nephrology Nurses Association for over 30 years. She has served on both local and national level roles in ANNA including National President. She has published in AJN, Advancement in Renal Replacement Therapy, Nephrology Nursing Journal and Wolters Kulwer Infection Control Guide. She is the editor of the Certification Review Guide and the Nephrology Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.
