Gladys Benavente MSN, ANP-c, CNN-NP

Ms. Benavente received both her BSN in 1977 and her MSN and ANP in 2001 from University of Arizona. Ms. Benavente has been a nephrology nurse for the past 28 years with a vast experience in peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, CKD education and pre- transplant workups. The last 7 years, Ms. Benavente has been practicing as a nurse practitioner/primary care provider for the renal patients at the Southen AZ VA Healthcare System. One of her roles has been CKD management of stage 3 to 5 and being a liasion to the other primary care providers in order to assist with earlier referrals to nephrology.Ms. Benavente has been an invited speaker on a local , regional, national and international level. Her presentations have included the development of CKD clinics, anemia management, and health promotion/primary care needs of the renal client.
