Renee Hogan MSN, ARNP-BC, RN-BC, CHN

"Renee began in Nephrology in 1975 in North Miami Beach, Florida and was trained in hemodialysis. Over the next several years Renee worked in chronic and acute dialysis centers, freestanding and hospital based. She moved into administrative roles in staff development, education and quality management over the next several years. Obtained her MSN from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida in 1993. Renee completed a post master's certificate as an ARNP in 1996.

While working at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida as the Quality Manager and Education Coordinator for the Medical Center, Renee was asked to create the Nephrology ARNP position guidelines for Jackson Memorial Hospital with the Division of Nephrology at the University of Miami/Miller School of Medicine. Renee held that position for six years. During that time she was trained in Interventional Nephrology, which included line placement, peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, renal ultrasound and performance of renal biopsies. She also maintained responsibility for the care of chronic kidney disease patients in a clinic setting as well as peritoneal and hemodialysis patients in hospital and outpatients in the acute hospital based dialysis unit. Renee moved to Ocala, Florida in 2006 to work with the Ocala Critical Care and Kidney Group. Presently my role consists of evaluating and managing patients with chronic kidney disease, patients on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, transplant patients, as well as patients with vascular disorders, and uncontrolled hypertension."
