Dr. Wendy St. Peter is a Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, where she also completed a fellowship in adult medicine. She served as a clinical practitioner at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis from 1998 to 2007. There Dr. St. Peter provided active consultation services in the medication management of dialysis and chronic kidney disease patients until 1997. In 2000, she became an investigator with the Chronic Disease Research Group (CDRG) and also with the United States Renal Data System (USRDS) in Minneapolis. She currently conducts pharmacoepidemiologic research in chronic kidney disease patients using Medicare and other large patient databases. She also teaches pharmacy students to appropriately manage drug therapy in CKD patients.
