David completed his nephrology training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center after which he was the Assistant Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine for 5 years in the Renal Division. He then returned to Denver and entered private practice with Western Nephrology, where he has been Medical Director of Acute Dialysis for 11 years. David has a longstanding interest in acute kidney injury and the mechanisms whereby sepsis results in renal failure. He is a member of the clinical faculty of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
