Christine Chmielewski is a nephrology nurse practitioner with Jefferson Renal Associates at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She received her B.S. in nursing from Wilkes College and her M.S. in nursing , with a focus on renal nursing, from Boston University. She earned her post- Master’s certificate as an adult nurse practitioner from Temple University. Christine has worked in nephrology nursing for 40 years. She has clinical experience in the areas of multi-organ transplant, dialytic therapies, and all stages of CKD. As an educator, she taught undergraduate nursing at Holy Family University and Temple University. Currently, she is a guest lecturer for the Acute Care, Primary Care, and Family NP programs at Thomas Jefferson University. She is actively involved in nursing continuing education as a presenter at local, regional, and national programs. As an author, she has authored and co-authored nephrology-related articles, chapters, and case studies.
