Jean Colaneri has been a nephrology nurse for over 34 years; as an Advanced Practice Provider in renal transplantation for 24 years and most recently as an Advanced Practice Provider in acute adult hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy. Jean has spoken locally, nationally, and internationally on acute kidney injury and renal transplantation. Along with Glenda Payne, she recently co-authored the second edition of the Acute Dialysis Survey Readiness Handbook. She is a member of the Nephrology Nursing Journal Editorial Board and has most recently published on quality improvement in acute dialysis and decreasing the disincentives to living kidney donation. She is a member of the Transplant and Acute Care SPNs. Jean has been a leader for many years in her local ANNA Chapter, Northeast Tri-State #120. She was the recipient of the Board of Directors Award in 2019.
