Lisa Gutekunst MsEd, RN, CSR, CDN

Lisa received her BS in clinical nutrition at the University of California at Berkeley and the MS in Adult Education the Kansas State University. She has worked in the field of renal nutrition since 1995. She currently works for Cleve-Hill dialysis in Buffalo, NY and is a consultant for Genzyme.

In addition to her work, she is an active participant in the Council on Renal Nutrition. She has held the office of Chair of her local council and has served on the Executive Committee at the national level of the Council. Lisa is the incoming Chair of the National Executive Committee this year.

In 2007, she was honored as the first recipient of the Recognized Regional Renal Dietitian for Region 1, and in 2008 she was honored with the Outstanding Service award from the national Council on Renal Nutrition.

Her hidden phosphorus series in the Journal of Renal Nutrition has allowed her to focus on a growing problem in, not only the renal community, but also the general population.
