Kevin Curran MD, FACP

Kevin received his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship training at the University of Florida in Gainesville. His fellowship research was in the biochemistry and molecular biology of the renal H+K+-ATPase.

He started private practice in East Texas in 1992 and has been Medical Director of the FMC Crockett Dialysis unit since1998. He also serves as Medical Director of the recently opened US Renal Care Canton Dialysis facility.

Kevin became involved in Animal Assisted Therapy with the Therapet Foundation in 1994 with his Bernese Mountain Dog Rev. He has served as Medical Director of the Therapet Foundation since 1998 and has had a total of 6 Therapy Dogs in the Therapet Program. He has spoken across the country on Animal Assisted Therapy at educational seminars that instruct health care professionals on the safe and therapeutic use of animals in health care practice.
