Dr. Victoria (Vicki) Montoya is an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Montoya maintains clinical practice as a nurse practitioner in conjunction with her academic position at the university. By combining 17 years of nephrology experience in patient care with her academic career, she is rarely without a patient story or example to help her students learn. Her research interests focus on pre-dialysis patient education and the inclusion of an option for conservative management with palliative care when appropriate. She displays steadfast passion and commitment to her patients and her students.
