Lisa Jennings has 30 years of experience in the field of cardiology with a specialty in advanced heart failure and heart transplant. She is a 2009 graduate of the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at University of Southern Indiana. She is board certified as an acute care nurse practitioner, cardiovascular nurse practitioner, with additional certifications in adult cardiac medicine, critical care, and heart failure. Lisa is a member of Heart Failure Society of America and is a fellow of the Heart Failure Society of America and was deemed one of their emerging leaders in the heart failure field. She teaches the heart failure section of the Saint Luke's Advanced Practice Fellowship program. She has presented cardiology and heart failure programs at the local, state, and national level to numerous different audiences from nurses, nurse practitioners, resident and fellows in training, and physicians. Lisa works as an acute care nurse practitioner in the advanced heart failure and heart transplant program at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. She provides care in heart failure clinics and rounds on the inpatient advance heart failure and heart transplant service.
