Patients who receive a living donor kidney live longer than those who receive a transplant from a deceased donor; however, the barriers to living donation are considerable. This session shares information about resources, training, and support available to overcome barriers to living organ donation, including a National Kidney Foundation initiative to train people to share their story about the need for a kidney donor and a transplant.
