Geraldine Corrigan MD

Geraldine Corrigan, MD received her medical degree from the University of London, UK and completed an "internship and residency" in the UK. At the end of this time, having spent 6 months at the renal unit in Oxford, Corrigan knew she wanted to be a nephrologist. Corrigan began a "renal fellowship" in the UK and early in the course of this had the opportunity to spend 2 1/2 years at Stanford undertaking research with Dr. Bryan Myers, studying the physiology of human acute kidney injury. She returned to the UK and completed my fellowship, by which time her husband, an American, wanted to return to the US. To become board eligible she repeated 2 years of residency and another year of clinical nephrology fellowship, the latter at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Since completing this rather lengthy training she has been with her current practice, Western Nephrology. She considers herself extremely fortunate in having our own team of acute dialysis nurses (an outstanding team of nurses and techs) with whom she provides acute dialysis services to 10 hospitals in the front range of Colorado.
