This workshop is designed for those who work in, are interested in, or have a desire to learn more about the care of acute kidney patients. The use of ventricular assist devices in patients with acute kidney injury and the role of the nephrology nurse in patient care will be discussed. The session also will address the various modality choices, vasculitis in acute kidney injury, as well as infection control in the acute care unit.
