Apr 30, 2012 1:45pm ‐ Apr 30, 2012 3:00pm

Standard: $40.00
Members: $30.00

Description

It is common knowledge that heart disease presents differently in women than in men, but did you know that there are significant commonalities between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD), especially for women? This session focuses on the economic and ethnic disparities found in women with heart disease and CKD. Opportunities for nephrology nurses to include CVD and CKD prevention education in their care planning for female patients are also explored.
