This module is part of a continuing education series the American Nephrology Nurses' Association (ANNA) to support the learning needs of nurses who care for nephrology patients in alternative settings.

Goal: Describe and identify differences between care of the adult and child with CKD Stage 5, including growth and development, nutrition, peer interactions and rehabilitation/school.

At the completion of this module the learner will be able to:

  1. Discuss the different etiologies of CKD in children from those in adults.
  2. Describe 3 differences in care for children with CKD from care given to adult patients.
